Mikkira Station is a tranquil secluded picnic or camping area set amongst Manna Gums where koalas live freely. Abundant and varied bird life can be observed. The historic area features the circa 1842 restored homestead as seen on the television production Australian Survivor. No motorbikes and no dogs are permitted. There are toilets and hot shower facilities. Limited wood supplied for camp fires, a number of small wood barbecues available. No wood fires from November to late April.
