  We caught up with a friend in Brisbane and went for a late lunch at the Royal. Parking can be tricky but we were lucky. The Royal is a heritage listed hotel with terrific ambience. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. One of our party surprised us with how much he enjoyed his meal. Our catch up was terrific at a fabulous venue.

  I went last night to the dinner and jazz with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday. The 'set' Italian menu was superb, with generous serves and the jazz band very professional. A memorable evening, I'd do it all again, thanks Royal

  I was one of few there and enjoyed chatting to the security man to pass some time. Friendly staff and open late with much gaming available. Their bistro provides good value meals. Spacious rooms and snooker available. Handy to taxis and buses, and a ten minute walk to railway. Big night there when major boxing is on the big screen, same with State of Origin football. Nice to have a venue open late in the suburbs.

  I'm easily impressed with good service and the ladies at The Royal didn't disappoint. The selection of beers did though. It advertised Peroni outside and while those 2choices were on tap, there was no mention of the IPA and Stout craft beers on tap. The pub itself is very upmarket trendy and decor has exposed brick and a great local feel. Given the number of people there, it's a popular spot and one I would happily return to for a drink. I didn't eat this time but the menu looked interesting; Italian inspired and mouth watering.

  The food is great however I just had to wait over an hour for my food, multiple tables who arrived long after us received their food more than thirty minutes before us. We spoke to the manager who was apologetic and gave us a $50 voucher for the long wait. This restaurant was one of my favorites in the area, however I won't be in a rush to return.
