Hotel rooms renovated to include ensuite making them very convenient, but being small room some imagination for simple hanging and storage space would improve. Attention to bathroom/shower cleaning and checking that towels and soap etc had been supplied would help. Apart Kandos is a lovely small town and community in a beautiful part of Australia, with some awesome motorcycling roads. Have traveled through many times and will continue to do so. Area has a lot of history.

Our first time in Kandos, loved the motel owners and workers, the Kandos Hotel dinner the Kandos coffee shop, the drive through Kandos and Rhylstone, great casual feel, no need for Armani clothing, simple, comfortable, relaxing, and really pleasant. We'll be back again one day.

The Museum is very interesting but make sure you go well before 4pm. We drove out to Wollemi nat. park and visited Dunns Swamp which is a beautiful waterway near headwaters of Cudgegong River. Rock landforms of the park are very interesting. It is easy to explore Kandos /Rhylstone .The 2 towns are very close and both seem to share facilities. We ate in Rhylstone at one of the hotels which delivers meals to the motel in Kandos.
